Comitas Institute for Anthropological Study
CIFAS is formed to stimulate anthropological research that will lead to better understandings and equitable ameliorations of persistent communal problems. Broadly defined, the Institute focuses on three distinct areas of social concern and scholarly interest: social disparities in complex societies; the nexus between illicit drugs and society; and the continuing study of Caribbean societies and cultures.
